Mrs. Vermeulen,

Enclosed is the final copy of your Mayflower papers.  Please check it over for correctness; make suggestions on a separate sheet of paper (not on the paper).

Sign in Black Ink.

If you have received the death certificate for your Grandmother Gladys Eddy-please send when you return the signed paper to the Oakland Office.

Also, a copy of your husband’s birth certificate would be appreciated.

It will be sent to Plymouth for the General Historian’s approval.

Thank you,

Myrtle Savage

I’m the 11th generation from a fellow named William White.  From Mayflowerhistory.com:

William and his wife Susanna came on the Mayflower in 1620 with son Resolved; Susanna gave birth to son Peregrine while the Mayflower was still anchored off the top of Cape Cod waiting for the Pilgrims to discover a place to build their colony.  William died the first winter, on the same day as three other passengers, including William Mullins.  His wife Susanna remarried to Edward Winslow a few months later, being the first marriage to occur at Plymouth.

Resolved is my ancestor.  I’m liking that name.

re⋅solve

verb, -solved, -solv⋅ing, noun
–verb (used with object)
1. to come to a definite or earnest decision about; determine (to do something): I have resolved that I shall live to the full.

Oh, and I’m running at 7.  Maybe it’s my 10th Great Grandfather’s influence.  Resolved.
